We are here to help you make sense of the good news of Jesus.

Curious about faith? Have questions? Or, not even sure where to start? Our church is a great place to ask questions about God and make sense of the meaning of life. We think it is important for you to have an opportunity to explore your questions and uncertainties.

From our end, it matters to us that you get to be ask your genuine questions about faith and the meaning of life. You might be eager to learn about Jesus, or downright skeptical. You're welcome to ask and learn.

Where do I start?

It's no problem if you just come along to church.

This is a great first step. Our Sunday services are easy places to listen and learn. Just turn up.

If you're someone who wants to sit back and watch and take things at your pace, this is for you. If you're keen to talk things through from the get-go, we have a great morning tea where you can ask questions and talk further.

Discussion opportunities?

We have an Explore Bible Study at 7pm on Wednesday nights.

We regularly host a Wednesday night Bible Study Group for people to explore faith. This is held at the St John's hall at 33 King St, Annerley.

The group is led by an experienced leader, and usually our minister Geoff Tacon. After a short welcome to each other, there is a brief prayer and then a short Bible text reading for the night. This reading is the basis for discussion for the evening. This gives us an opportunity to learn about Jesus from the text, and also the opportunity to work through questions that we bring as we interact with the Bible.

Is English your second language?

Our Simple English Bible Study is just for you.

We regularly host a Wednesday morning Simple English Bible Study. We arrive from 8:45am, and being reading from 9am. We finish at 10am.

This is an opportunity to learn English together and read the Bible. This is held at the St John's hall at 33 King St, Annerley.

This is a delightful group where we take lots of time to patiently understand each other in English. We take turns reading the Bible text. We then work together to understand what is being said. We also use a translation app, to help us communicate.

Christianity Explored

Ever wondered who Jesus really is?

Join us for a relaxed 4-week course exploring the life of Jesus from the Gospel of Mark.

Bring a friend, and join us Wednesdays from 7pm to 8:30pm at 33 King St, Annerley.

Who is Jesus? Why did he come? Why did he die? What does it mean for us today? We will answer these questions, and more. You don’t need to know anything about the Bible. Just come along, listen, and ask questions.

The course is free, all welcome.

Just turn up.

We ran this course throughout May in 2026. It will run again at the start of 2027.

Can I get a Bible?

The Bible contains 66 books - 39 were written before Jesus' birth, in anticipation of this coming - 27 were written after his death and resurrection, reflecting on who has is and he saves us.

We have a free Bible for you.

You are also able to read the Bible online.

There are many Bible websites you can access and Bible apps you can download. Two easy ones are Bible Gateway and YouVersion.

The Bible is regularly translated into English from the original Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek texts. We regular read from the New International Version (NIV) translation, and in its most recently updated version (2011). Here is a short history of the translation of the NIV.
